Natural Herbal Gardening and Medical Remedies

Natural herbal remedies have been around for thousands of years and have passed down from generation to generation. Many of the modern day medications that are dispensed through pharmacies today were originally created or based on natural ingredients.
Cures for many diseases and disorders are treated with common drugs like opium (from poppies) or its’ derivatives, aspirin (from willow bark), digitalis (from foxglove), and quinine (from the cinchona tree). By the end of 2004, more than a third of adults have been documented as using some form of an alternative herbal medicine.
Growing your own herbs is the best way to have a good variety of organically grown fresh herbs. Not only will you have them conveniently at your fingertips, but you will reduce your carbon footprint since they aren’t being trucked in to you. Today we don’t know where our food comes from or how it is handled. We don’t know what chemicals it has been treated with. Many people are going back to basics and starting their own gardens.
Natural herbs can not only be beautiful but they can also be aromatic giving a wonderful aroma to your garden. Herb gardens are easily and successfully grown in a wide variety of garden planters and containers as well as in the garden. Our ancestors knew the value of fresh herbs in their diet as well as for their medicinal value. Maybe it’s time to look to our past in order to make our future a little healthier.
People all over the world use massage therapy to encourage balance and well-being, help promote healthy skin, nourish and strengthen the body, relieve stress, and reduce pain. It helps to increase the flow of energy in order to balance the nervous system. Many of the massage oils contain natural essential oils added to carrier oil and then massaged into the body. This is only one way natural herbs can improve the quality of your life.
Natural herbs have been used since Neanderthal man to relieve pain and to heal. Modern medicines have been derived from natural herb, mineral, or animal sources. Prescription drugs made from synthetic compounds have shown on many occasions to be potentially dangerous to the patient with a multitude of possible side effects.
If you have an ailment, anything from a cut to heart disease, do not rule out a natural way of treating the disease or symptom until you ask questions, research the possible alternatives, and make an informed decision. Natural herbal remedies have a secure foundation in every civilization since the beginning of man. Choose a more natural way of healing than the modern synthetic drugs handed out over the pharmacy counter.
